Islington Council’s New Build team has been successfully developing new homes projects for a number of years, contributing to the largest number of homes built in Islington for 30 years. Our aspiration is to set higher standards for housing design and build quality, to be at the forefront of sustainable and energy efficient housing development and to embrace and promote innovation and collaboration to realise our goals.
As we move towards Zero Carbon in line with Islington Council’s Vision 2030 commitment it is essential that we understand how our new homes perform once they are occupied, and that we apply lessons learnt from the outcomes to our design approach. We have joined the Building Performance Network for an opportunity to learn from those leading in the field, to benchmark our findings against those of others and to help shape the wider approach to post occupancy evaluation in future.
